Whew! It's been a crazy summer. Well, we have officially moved to Durham now. Steve lost his job in March and got a job up here in May. Most of his family is very near here, so he stayed with them for the next couple of months while we figured things out. We finally decided to just move up here and get out of Charlotte. We've never really liked that city much anyway, so it was a good opportunity to pack up and go. We've been in Durham now for a month and I really like it so far. Granted, I now have to drive 3 and a half hours to school about twice a month, but it's a small sacrifice. Speaking of school, it is going very well. I just started Unit 2 with Medical massage and am loving every bit of it. In two weeks we learn Neuromuscular massage and I am so excited. This stuff is the reason I wanted to go into massage. Swedish is nice and relaxing, but it doesn't really get to the problem if you're in pain. I want to get people out of pain, so we are finally getting into the realm I want to be in. It's just going to get better from here. So far I have learned swedish, reflexology, polarity therapy, shiatsu, aromatherapy, medical and reiki. I've got a pretty full repertoire and we're still not done. Very cool. Also, I have started a new website for my massage business and all the bath and beauty products that I've been making.
