Soapbox

December is here and I'm almost done with classes. After this weekend, I only have three more to go. I'll be done with classes by the middle of January and should finish my clinic hours by April, at the latest. Have learned so many things that I don't even know where to start with them all. Have also been developing new products for my business and self. There are so many wonderful things you can make to beautify, cleanse, rejuvenate yourself that will not harm you like all of those products out there on the market. Such simple ingredients! I make all of my products from home with basic natural ingredients that I test on myself. There is nothing I make that I have not used myself. And my skin is showing the difference. I am no longer on prescription cream for my rosacea, I am looking for an alternative to my asthma inhaler, and everything I now use on my skin or hair is something I made myself or a simple ingredient like witch hazel or jojoba oil. Beauty does not have to mean spending a fortune on expensive creams and shampoos that will only pump you full of more synthetic chemicals that will only end up harming you. Our ancestors knew so much more about the natural world and how we can live together with it. Sorry about the soapbox, but this has become something of a passion for me. I have this dream of one day building my own self-sustaining shop and home where I can grow my own food and herbs year-round, heat and cool without electricity, and really live what I preach. Everyone should read about Earthships or see the documentary "Garbage Warrior." It is so eye-opening about how we could live. Anyway, enough from me right now.
