Gardening

Well, been in the yard most of the day, trying to get most of my plants in the ground. In addition to the lavender, rosemary, kyria, fig tree, comfrey, chocolate mint, salvia, oregano, horehound, lemon balm, thyme, and bay that are my permanent fixtures, I have added a plethora of summer veggies and herbs. In the fall I started garlic and onions that are doing wonderfully. A few weeks ago my mom and I started some shallots, leeks, spinach, and mesclun mix. And today I added three different types of tomato (San Marzano, Cherokee Purple and a cherry), chamomile, kale, collards, snap peas, and banana pepper. Later I will add nasturtiums, yellow squash, bell pepper, parsley, cilantro, basil, pole beans, bush beans, and chard. Like I said, I am being very ambitious with my garden this year. And to think that I have approximately 60 square feet to work with total! I love it! Anyway, pics to come very soon so you all can see what I've been up to!
